The Book Of Eli

Who has seen the movie?  I'll try not to ruin it for you if you have not seen it.  Basic plot: most of the world has been wiped out, guy has vision to take his book west, he's been walking 30 years, this is the end of his trip.

Things I liked: It made me think, is really what the world would be like if people tried to eliminate God?  All Bibles were destroyed and evil rules.  Kinda sounds like the world we live in already.  A world that needs God.

Eli quotes Psalm 23 to a girl who has never heard of the Bible and she is in awe.  Shouldn't that be our every day reaction to scripture? 

What I admire about Eli is that he had been walking for 30 years!  That is commitment.  He didn't stop when the road got rough.  Or after a few months.  He just kept going by faith.  Wow!

What I didn't like: So it was a Hollywood movie.  Honestly, when the earth is completely burned and dead is when Jesus will come again and bring His kingdom to earth.  How great will that day be!
