I have a plan

I'm sitting at my desk at work thinking about my plans for the future.  Projects that I think are good ideas and directions I want to go in.  Oh how I wish I could tell everyone all of my plans!  And then I catch myself and laugh a little.  Why?  Cuz I think I know what I'm doing.  God is probably cracking up because He knows way more than I do.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Thoughts on this verse?

So glad God has it figured out because then I don't have to figure anything out.  Oh and plans to prosper.  That means I'm gonna get rich?  And yes I'd rather not be harmed and want hope and a future.  A very comforting verse.

But on the flip side what we assume God wants for us is not what we are going to get at all.  He said this world is not our home so everything we put stock in today will not last us for eternity.
