Beware: Long Blog-read at your own risk!

I am bored. Go figure.

Last week I burned by back on a heater in Dani's room. We were rearranging it (so we could see the TV better while lounging on the bed) and as I was pulling the bed into position by back touched the really hot pipe that takes how water into the heater (these things are really old school). This 1" opening is the only unprotected part of the whole thing and I managed to find it. Not only did it burn, but also blister. I started picking at the scab today and now it is bleeding. Advise: dont pick your scabs.

Last night around midnight, Janelle and I were headed upstairs to bed after watching Minority Report and ran into Dani as she was returning from Scotty-Co. Earlier over an extra large pizza, we had been discussing personality profiles. We spent the next hour learning everything about myself. I am ISTJ, Driver, Green/beaver. Like I didnt already know all that. Janelle thought I would be red because I am a driver, but I am too passive to be red!

Janelle got a new dress at Macy's yesterday. For the Valentine's day dance for which she does not yet have a Valentine (hint, hint). Thank goodness national singles day is the 13th for those of us who are swinging singles. Molly and I dont think we will ever get married (we are tmi for many) so we will live together with out 100 cats, wear moo moo's, and power walk around the mall.

We are going to pita pit for dinner. Pray that we dont get food poisining! We walked past it last night while we were walking down greek row. We were wondering what exactly happened in the greek community on a weekend night. If you too were wondering you will have to continue in that state because we didnt even see any drunk people let alone a party. And they say the WSU is a party school. After Pita Pit we are going to watch Top Gun! Hurray for chick flicks!

We had a freshman friday this week whick was fun. We got to meet freshman from other rez halls. Many of them I did not realize were freshman. I am sure that they didnt think I was a freshman either. It was after 4 fridays (you got to love how crusade titles their events...half of the info is in the title!). This was only the second friday and I have already learned a lot. We are learing how to engage in spiritual conversations with student in our halls and classes. It is more than what I learned in high school: how to tell your friends about God, but what I was missing was what does that conversation look like and how do you get into it. A conversation can start as easily as asking someone how their weekend was. It sounds easy and when I went with Joce and actually talked with some girls it looked even easier!

Wow...I have been writing for 30 minutes! So...do you think that this is too long or just really long?

My classes are going good, but this weekend I had an abstract to do and a lab write up. I am not worried about the abstract cuz I can turn it in repeatedly for a better score, but the lab confused me. It asked about something I had never heard of before and that I dont think we have talked about yet (I read through my book and notes and found nothing). Class isnt until 2:00 anyways. I have the first test of the semester on friday (who does that?). I dont think it will be too bad as it is multiple choice.

I have a government meeting now so I hope you have something else to waste your time on now because I am done.

Song: 24 Switchfoot
Quote: Son of a nutcracker! (what movie is it from)

I really should finish....Janelle is waiting to read it!

Things to think seriously about:

Janelle is currently reading my blog and laughting because I am "hilarious." I think that most of you knew that anyways.

Nutrition is an utterly fascinating class. Though it is boring, the teacher is very careful to be politically correct. It is funny because every time she says fecal matter Molly will lean over and say poop. We then start to giggle like 1st graders (can we really help ourselves as we are bored to death).

I am currantly writing an abstract for motor development and am entirly frustrated by the whole thing. My teacher spent the entire hour wednesday explaining the thing in every detail except on how to find and relate a study to the book!!! Not to mention that I am feeling extremely ADD and now, as I sit and write, am procrastinating. It is due monday along with a lab write up for another class.

On a lighter note: I fell down the stairs yesterday. I find it to be hilarious even though I have a bruse on my arm. It suprises me that I have only fallen once as I fall regularly on the stairs at home.

Is anyone besides me excited for taxes? Every January it is like a bonus. I now will have enough money to live on for the rest of the year! That means that I am not looking for a job as hard as my mom would like me to be. Oh well. My time is better spent studying (or at least trying to). It can be hard sometimes because my floor can be pretty loud and I get distracted. I only have 1 test next week, but 3 the following. I am sure by now you are bored or you would not still be reading this so I will end it here.

Complaints...

Last night at dinner we were talking about what we would put on a comment card for the dining hall. I just thought that I would share some.

1. Why isnt their a meat option with the vegitarian meal. Some of the food looks good, but who wants tofu?
2. Can some of the sugar cookies come without sprinkles. They hurt my teeth!
3. Can there be more than one clock in each room. Depending on where I am sitting I cant always see it.
4. Where is the fry sauce?
5. Can we get some sugar free stuff that doesnt taste like cardboard?
6. Please bring in another person to work dinner.
7. Can we have some vegetables besides what is on the salad bar?

Balmy Weather

I am just wondering if it is really January! The clear blue sky and 55 degree days seem more to be Aprilish than January. Where is the snow!?!?

Don't you just hate it when a prof. is lecturing and they go so fast they you cant read you own witing, you have to skip a few sections just to catch up, and they discuss the topic while you are scrambling to scribble their long notes and you miss what they say! That was my 10:10 class. 5 pages in less than and hour! I am lucky to have 2 complete pages in my other classes. Other than the class that will give me carpeltunnel...this semester rocks!

How many times do you need to read each chapter to prepare for a quiz or exam? According to Bruya...8!

Emily and Janelle say: Narf!! (that is what our board says)

Have a good day!

2 down...13 to go!

Wow!! has it really been a week since I last posted?

I got a call a couple minutes ago from Andy telling me to meet them at el porton. That really made me hungry for mexican food. Unfortunatly I cant go cuz I ab 300 miles away! So I am having a tuna sandwich instead. Yum!

So I went to the rec center this morning and I could not believe how many poeple there were there at 10 on a Saturday morning. It was really nice though cuz there were a bunch of cru people there for b-ball. I am going to be an ultra buff chick at the end of the year with all this working out that I have been doing.

Hopefully I will be seeing Phantom of the Opera today. I am excited.

I am going brain dead so I will end it here for now.

1 week down...14 to go

Hurray!!! I survived my first week of classes and do not forsee dropping any of them. This is exciting. Sorry to confuse you with my class abreviations. Ath T is Athletic Training, FSHN is Food Science Human Nutrition, and MVTST is Movement Studies.

It is very nice to be back at school. CRU last night was wonderful. I had such a great time seeing all my friends again and worship, as always, was terrific. I am not enjoying the dinning hall food (what else is new), but I have started buying normal food from the market.

Warning to all who use hot pots...do not heat milk! I dont know what will happen if you use it on low, but heating milk on high causes it to burn. Speaking of burn...also let your hot pizza cool as not to burn the roof of your mouth. (What great advice...I wish someone would have told me that sooner.)

Anyways...We are having a Lord of the Ring marathon tonight. This promises to be a fun event. What a way to start what will probably a long, cold, boring weekend. I am already bored if you could not already tell (truth is that I am just avoiding finishing my group project). If you are still reading this you must be bored too. Seeing that you are bored you will probably want to comment, but, really, what is there to comment on?

First day

Today classes began thus ending vacation. I attended all of my classes and am quite happy with them. My first class is MVTST 264 at 9:10 and my teacher Kai is a self-admittant geek. He walks into class in a suit jacket and a tie, says to take a good look because we will never see him wear it again, and then procedes to take the jacket and tie off. At 10:10 I have ATH T 266 with Brian something-or-other. Afer reviewing the sylabus he dissmissed us. That was less than 10 minutes into the class. FSHN 130 is at 12:10 and I have that with Molly and Janelle (room mate). I have heard that the teacher (Dr. Helmick (kinda looks like himlick huh?)) is boring and easy. I have MVST 262 at 1:10 with Susan. She walks into class, introduces herself as Dr. Dunlap, but says not to call her that because she is not old yet. I think that she will be a fun teacher. Lastly I have Larry Bruya for MVTST 199 at 2:10. He wanted to be sure everyone not only know his name, but how to spell it incase someone later asked us what teachers we had. I also have PE, but that doesnt even count as a class in my mind.

Break is almost over :(

Only a few days left on homeworklessness. Going back will be crazy, but thankfully I have a friend who is getting my books for me so I dont have to wait in what will be insanly long lines (Thanks Dani... You are the best). I am looking forward to seeing all of my friends in Pullman, but will miss all my friends at home.

This week has been fun even though my mom has worked everyday. Jenna and I managed to stay busy. Yesterday we went to aqua trac (aka water aerobics) and I am so sore!

I think I will make some cookies now. I need to stock up on good food before I leave.
