Memorial Day Weekend

So we (my mom, younger brothers, and I) went to Oak Harbor to visit the grandparents and whoever else drifted to that area on this holiday (this happened to be my Uncle Andy and cousin Marielle followed by Uncle Craig, Aunt Tami, Spencer and Henry). I always feel more stressed going to their place than the relaxed that you may think I would feel by going to the beach. Small house+boys+grampa cranky pants=happy to be back home! It was fun though to go for the after dinner swim in the huge (and probably dangerous) waves. I also like to stop and go shopping since their is no place in Yakima to shop. I got some new clothes and shoes! I did forget my contact case so my eyes are starting to hurt as I have not cleaned the contacts in 3 days (ouch!).

Before we even got home we stopped at Michael Uhlman's graduation party. It was really nice because Alisha was there. I haven't seen her since graduation! We had a good chat. I wish that I could be around when she is out of school so we could do something.

10 days until I leave for Tahoe! I am so excited! I think this is going to be a fun summer. I'll keep ya posted bout the events.

The Weekend

The weekend was very fun. Jocelyn's wedding was on saturday so everyone was there. It was great to see everyone. We had a ton of fun dancing. Afterwords some of us went to Applebee's for appetizers (half price after 9). Five of my friends spent the night with us and Witney and Janelle hung around on Sunday waiting for Witney's mom to come pick them up.

Last night I worked for East Valley's middle school "graduation party" then turned around and opened this morning. My alarm clock didnt go off so I was 45 min late. Oops! It was OK though cuz my boss got there early so he opened. Yeah!

Have a good week in classes for everyone who isnt done or a relaxing one if you are done. :)

It's been awhile

It has just been crazy being home, working, and doing absolutly nothing. I am so glad that school is done for now, but I am looking forward to going back. Not that my brothers are that bad, but it will be nice to get away from them for a while.
Today Ben broke my sunroof window playing homerun derby. That puts him back in the hole for a while. I wish he had hit my windshield because that would be cheaper to fix and then the chip wouldnt be there either.
Tomorrow we are having a garage sale. I just hope it doesnt rain and thunderstorm like the weatherman said. I just hope saturday is sunny and nice for the outdoor wedding I am going to.

Summer

So I am home for the summer for now. It seems like I just left for college and now I am 6 credits from being a senior! It is nice to be home though there are things I miss about being at school like not having to do the dishes and having high speed internet connections (though I am glad that I have a laptop therefore a fast computer). I have been working a ton since I got home and havent unpacked yet, but hopefully I can get that done tomorrow. I am going to bed now so goodnight!

You Are 45% Normal
(Somewhat Normal)

While some of your behavior is quite normal...
Other things you do are downright strange
You've got a little of your freak going on
But you mostly keep your weirdness to yourself

How Normal Are You?

You Know You're From Washington When...

  • You know the state flower (Mildew)
  • You feel guilty when you don't recycle.
  • You use the phrase "sun break" and know what it means.
  • You know more than 10 ways to order coffee.
  • You know more people who own boats than air conditioners.
  • You feel overdressed wearing a suit to a nice restaurant.
  • You've stood on a deserted corner in the rain waiting for the "Walk" Signal.
  • You understand that if it has no snow or has not erupted, it is not a real mountain.
  • You can taste the difference between Starbuck's, Seattle's Best, Veneto's, Peet's, and Tully's. You know the difference between Chinook, Coho, and Sockeye salmon.
  • You consider swimming an indoor sport.
  • You are well versed in the difference between Japanese, Chinese and Thai food.
  • In winter, you go to work in the dark and come home in the dark -- while only working eight-hour days.
  • You never go camping without waterproof matches and a poncho.
  • You are not fazed by "Today's forecast: showers followed by rain," and "Tomorrow's forecast: rain followed by showers."
  • You have no concept of humidity without precipitation.
  • You can point to at least two volcanoes, even if you cannot see through the cloud cover.
  • You notice "the mountain is out" when it is a pretty day and you can actually see it.
  • You put on your shorts when the temperature gets above 50, but still wear your hiking boots and parka.
  • You switch to your sandals when it gets about 60, but keep the socks on.
  • You've actually used your mountain bike on a mountain.
  • You think people who use umbrellas are either wimps or tourists.
  • You knew immediately that the view out of Frasier's window was fake.
  • You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from Washington.

You Will Die at Age 79
79

You're pretty average when it comes to how you live...
And how you'll die as well.
